Did you hear about this? Two American girls were traveling Europe together when a true travel nightmare occurred...

They were in Italy and wanted to go to France.
​
They boarded their plane.
​
And then, once on the plane they learned they were flying to the wrong country.​
​
The worst part? It was too late to de-plane.

How did these two girls buy tickets for the wrong destination?

Here’s what happened:

Apparently, they were in Rome and missed their flight to Nice, France. ​
​
Already at the airport in Rome, they spoke to a booking agent. ​
​
They asked for tickets "To Nice".
​
​But once on the plane, they discovered they were NOT going to France.
​
The ticket they got? TUNIS! As in, Africa.
​
​

In my professional opinion, their mistake was simple:

They Didn’t Check Their Ticket

Why didn’t they look at their boarding pass? Why didn’t they confirm the destination? Why?!
​
​My friends, always check your boarding pass! Then check it 5 more times. Trust nothing and no one!

Thank goodness these two girls had each other - and this is something they can laugh about now. But don't let this happen to you, boo.
